# About the Battlefields system

A battlefield is where an arena takes place. It's that simple. We can say that **a battlefield for an arena** is **the same** as **a world for Minecraft**.

Battlefields are stored in a folder, just like an ordinary Minecraft world.

Each battlefield has its own minimap and configuration (**bombing zones**, **air supply**, **border resize succession**, etc...).

Although you can create multiple arenas that take place on the same battlefield, as the plugin will create a copy of the battlefield each time an arena starts.

Once you understand the concept of battlefields, you realize that it is very powerful. We can compare this plugin with **PUBG** (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds), which has multiple maps. It's amazing the fact that players will never tire of playing on the same map.
